Technical window wipers playing up!!

Hi, my window wipers are playing up, when in motion they are stuttering all over the window like they are getting stuck, anyone had this problem, ifso how'd you go about fixing it?

not sure, its a year 2001 x reg. only just brought it.

Probably needs the grease replaced in the motor, this was recommended by fiat to erradicate this problem. Special grease required.

The grease used Claire probably dries out so they will use a grease that doesn't.

Somebody will correct me if I am wrong

aaah right got ya.
had a search on the posts and managed to find bits bout the thick/heavy grease.
will find our local dealer and give them a ring for starters, see if they can do owt for me for free, then if not, i'll get my b'friend to have a look for me and try and get some white grease stuff....

is the grease how you fix this problem on a 2000 X reg too?

Yeah - it is a specific grease.

Got some myself in case I ever need it (Fiat/Lancia branded stuff).

Both I and my girlfriend have MK2's (hers is an X reg, mine's a 53). Hers shows some symptoms but not severe enough to do it yet.

yeah very common problem dodgy grease in motor had it happen to me
