I have found a couple of adverts selling Uno wheels with good tyres
5 for £30 sounds good to me
will I have to have the tyres changed over or will the wheels fit my Panda.
it could save me a longish drive, and trying them on at his doorstep if
anyone knows if they fit or not.
Thanks Fred (old codger)

My Panda is fitted with Punto alloys (by the previous owner), without any problems.

I'd imagine the uno wheels will fit the Panda, no probs.

Cheers
John

Yes Fred, they are the same pressed steel wheels. I have Panda and Uno, switching the wheels as required. Its always handy to have an extra wheel or two.

However, I feel that the 135/13 looks like a cart wheel and I use 155/65/13 on all my vehicles.

No problem with rubbing Fred. You will find that 155/65/13 is the standard fit for the Panda 1000S.

You may get away with it on Punto wheels but 165 60's are better.

I've got 165 65 14's on the Alfa wheels on Barbara's 4x4 and they are fine, partly because of the extra ride height. When I tried them on Charmania fitted to 500 steelies they did touch the arch over bumps.

Hmm, got a dilemma you see, got this set of Punto alloys with 165/65 but 2 are worn right down, so if I only change those I only buy 2, but if I change size I'll need to do all 4 really and ditch 2 decent tyres...

They required 10mm spacers, longer bolts and the hand brake cable relocating to fit.

Also the car handled like crap with them on.

My Bianca had phase II Uno turbo wheels and needed the 10mm spacers and longer bolts on the back (that's how long I've had then in my shed). :)

She used to handle like a gokart on rails.
