nope, they usually cover for a stereo system for up to a grand, best telling em anyway, shouldnt cost owt, least you know for sure then, all insurers are different

A Grand, normally £300, or more if it's the origional that came with the car when brought new from the manufacture.

direct line cover a grand whether its original or aftermarket, i asked em about my stereo, they said does come to less thn a grand, yes i said, no problems then, they said, thats when i had my punto, going back to direct line, with adrien flux at the mo, and yes there a little bit cheaper, but there service leaves a little bit to be desired, and the fact that they have changd there policy on courtesy cars, can have a car no longer than 7 days in a year, after that they pass you over to there sister company hic, and 67quid for a punto for 2weeks pissed me off a little, especially when direct line dont charge at all
