Get a JTD, I love mine, its a good performer and the economy is great, yeah it costs a little more, but you get alloys and stuff, plus it should hold a little more value.

It is also very tuneable too, if thats your thing;)

Stilo TURBO!!!!(diesel)

Definately a JTD or wait for the new 140 MultiJet thats commimg. The economy and increased torque sell it everytime.Like T/C i wish I had gone for the JTD but I could`nt afford new at the time and no second hand models at my dealers.
Without a doubt JTD:):):):)

1.8 5 Door in Sassi Grey
Comfort Pack 1

Good point about waiting for the new JTD 140, I'd love one, might be a little pricey mind?

I thought the same about the slight extra cost of the JTD at first, but I worked out with the savings on fuel ( I do quite a lot of miles) and the lower insurance it wasn't really going to cost any more than a 1.8.

I got the 1.4 as it has far less to go wrong on it! After having the HLX Punto and everything going wrong!

March '04, 5 dr 1.4 Stilo Active & Sept '00, 5 dr 1.2 HLX Punto.

The 1.2 is no more Stiloboy, apparently they got so fed up of some Scottish bloke whinging about his they discontinued it;)

go for the JTD ive had mine a month now and am well chuffed. great performance and great economy and thats a month old with a "tight" engine, better MPG to come!!

3 Door 1.9 JTD Dynamic in Metallic Black with MP3 player, leather gearstick & steerinig wheel!

Go JTD more fun more tuning

Stilo JTD 3D (115HP) Dynamic Steel Silver, Leather, Nav+, Spoilerkit, Comfortpack, Auto airco
Alloys HR-Alurad Brio5 18x7.5"

1.4 will be smoother, quieter, longer legged (6 speed box), will be cheaper initially to buy, cheaper road tax (insurance maybe too).

JTD, quicker 0-60, typically higher MPG, higher road tax, more expensive initially (probably take 50,000 miles before you recoup the difference, so perfect for a high miler), will retain more of its initial value, will be easier to sell!

53 plate, Stilo 3-door, Sassy grey, Alloys to follow, 1.2 Active, 5-Disc CD-Changer -- 45mpg!

the Panda is only using the 8v 1.2 so all the 16v 1.2's are going to the punto dynamic and active sport ;)

Scorg

02 Stilo Dynamic 1.6
Sky Blue
01 Brava 80SX
Ink Black

yeah stiloboy ... panda has 8v 1.2 engines so the only car where your engine is built is in punto ... and the trepiuno is just project, showcar and it will past at least 2yrs before that car is manufactured .... and as i heard it will have smaller engines.

FIAT STILO 1.6 3dR Tiziano Red
Sub=Pioneer TS WX20LPA
AUTOMOBILE SK

I would go for the JTD or MultiJet ( when available in UK... see dealer ) if you are thinking between those two versions, the JTD Dynamic has a few more toys than the Active 1.4 versions eg. alloys, CD player, rear spoiler, sports seats etc

plus a little more bang for ya ££££

yes I know its around £2000 more expensive... but thats where haggling comes in, do a little research ( jamjar for prices, supermarkets for APR % or http://www.thisismoney.com/moneyshop/money_shop_loans.html ) this is what I did before going to see dealer, got all my info printed out and when to see them, I ended up with an Abarth at list was with options £15200 but paid £10245 plus the intrest rate matched with current low supermarkets and online deals of 6%.

It pays to haggle.. if you can on the net locate all the info you need, print it out...

example if I was going for a JTD ( 3 door )

JamJar price
FIAT STILO DIESEL HATCHBACK 1.9 JTD Dynamic 3dr
JamJar Price £10,293.40 List £13,335.00 SAVING £3,041.60

That price is for a standard as seen in brochure one... you will need to call them if you want options and estimated delivery of a optioned Stilo.

Finance through Direct.com

Fixed 6.2 % on 10293 is £313 x36 months

But you may have part ex or a deposit which will bring those figures down.

one thing tho as these maybe low end prices YOUR dealer may not match them ( but ask anyway... worked for me ) so have say a maximum monthy payment you would be ok paying but DONT tell them that if they wont match the low price, um and ar a bit and come up a say £5-10 a month more and say to them if they will match that you will sign right NOW ( turn the tables again it puts them on the spot ) I have when helping a friend buy her last car said to the bloke... "give me your pen now and we will sign"

good luck on getting a STILO.. you will enjoy its head turning capabilitys over the compitition ;)

2.4 Abarth ( Manual ) Black ... nothing else to say really.

I would never go with Finance provided from a dealer. They might match a payment but extend the term to do it! In the end its always better shopping around the high street banks. I got my car for £15 less a month that dealer could manage and loan over 1 year less!

Like My Multi Wagon.

Fiat Stillo MW. 1.9JTD
Met. Blue. all Electric. Skywindow..SatNav+
17" 7 spoke alloys.
Rear Parking sensor and Puddle Lights.

......Ham............

1.4 longer legged cos its got 6gears? its not how many gears you have, its how high the top ratio is, the JTD sits around 2250rpm at 70, I reckon the 1.2 or 1.4 would struggle to beat that;)
