Hi folks,

My car is approaching its 3rd birthday, with a service and MOT to look forward to. When I bought the car last August, it was found that it had never had a service (i.e., had missed its 1st and 2nd year service.)

The dealer (a Honda garage) did a "service", but I have no idea what they did, how comprehensive it was, or if it matched the Fiat service whether it was a 1st or 2nd year service.

So while it should be getting a 3rd year service this year, I'm worried that some of the things done in the 1st or 2nd year service will have been missed.

Also, the "recalls" listed in the recalls and known faults thread; will they make sure these are checked, considering it'll be things that should have been looked at 2 years ago at least?

I'll be taking the car to my local Arnold Clark Fiat dealership in Springburn, Glasgow.

Thanks for your thoughts. :)

Hi, thanks for your reply. :)

I haven't organised anything yet, but I'd probably be asking for a Fiat service – just not sure if it would make sense to ask for a 2nd year service (which I understand is more thorough) when the car is 3 years old – or maybe a combined 2 and 3 year service (would you call that a 2.5 year service? ;))

The car's done 16,700 miles.

As T points out not much for your £89. Have a nice run down to Ayr home of the Honest Men (stand up if you hate Killie ) and meet the Fiat Ayr guys.

36K service £149 other services other than timing belt service are £99.

Sorry didn't read your post fully. Didn't realise that AC Springburn were Fiat too, so you'll get the same prices there too.
