If you had £3000 to spend on a Fiat which would you buy.

I'm taking my Uno off the road it's just become to unreliable for everyday transport. The other half is learning to drive, so I'll get it fixed and it'll do as a runabout when she passes her test.

I'm thinking Seicento, late Mk1 or early Mk2 Punto, Bravo/Brava or even a Marea. Any opinons welcome.

Hi Steve C

Three Grand will buy you a nice Brava/Bravo. I owned a Brava for four years and it was a pleasure, it was cheap to maintain and insure if a little thirsty, (28mpg 1.6 16v) other than that though it was very good, comfortable and fast enough to get you out of a fix. These cars are now tried and tested, just make sure you get a low mileage, well maintained example, the Brava is usually bought by the mature family person, so they are generally better kept and standard, the Bravos are usually bought by single people and usually get a lot of modding, buy yours standard and it'll give you years of pleasure!

Hope this helps!:D

Nah err... ide got for a punto MK2 if you didnt want another Uno

My Lovely Uno

Marea's always seem to come up cheaper than BravO/A's and you tend to get a better level of trim. OK I'm biased but I've got 2 so I would never have bought the second if the first was crap. If you want good reliability I'd go for a 1.8 they seem best although my 1.6 weekend is great. If you don't wanna worry about pouring super-unleaded £10 notes in your tank.........buy a 155 2.0 20V .........Its a pain in the arse, but I still love it.

Marea HLX 2.0i 20v :p

Just got one and WOW!!

They depreciate very quickly from new so you should get a great deal for £3k.

I'm fitting an Ecotek to mine to keep the mpg in control... but i'll probably just use the extra bhp instead. http://www.ecotekplc.com/

Let us know what you get.

85% of Marea HLX drivers have speeding tickets.... lol they'll have to catch me first.

I saw a Stilo 1.8 Dynamic for 3k in a salvage yard, it was accident damaged but well repairable.
