Dear readers, my new camperVan Rimor is based on a Ducato 2184 cc. On the board display I can see speed on the left and speed in the centre with big digital number. On the right revpmin are given. Below total km. But I do not see external temperature and time. Is there any possibility to somehow switch in order to get temperature and time?
Thank you

I am wondering whether you may have a lower specification instrument panel. It is now nearly 20 years since the introduction of the x250 model, but that model was offered with two alternative versions of the instrument panel. For details see attached extract from training manual.

With 2184 cc and speed in large figures in the center of the instrument the van is a 21/22 or later.

Yes, it looks like there are two options, a 7" instrument panel that shows the time and temperature, and a 3.5" version that doesn't, at least in the screenshots I've seen; the manual doesn't explicitly state if it can show the temperature, though it mentions a reconfigurable area, and several display modes accessed with arrows on the wheel.

These are pictures from the Swedish manual for a 2024 Ducato 3,5" instrument. No use giving all the text in Swedish. I´m sure you can find the manual in English. The temperature is found in the upper left hand corner in the last picture. You are supposed to use the arrows one the left side of the steering wheel to change in menues until it shows what you want.

Thank you for your great answers. I will contact today Fiat help desk to find out what kind of "Ducato" I have.

According to how you described it you have a "Ducato" from 21/22 or later and with the 3.5" display. Post some pictures of your "Ducato" if you want to know more. Don´t you have a manual?

I will post a picture of the display. The manual doesn't say anything about and phone support doesn't also know nothing. I suppose that display is "as it is" and that's all.

DISPLAY 3.5"
The following information is shown on the display
fig. 153:
A Headlight alignment mode, gear position indicator,
outside temperature, compass directions
(on some models), date
B Vehicle speed,
warning messages/possible malfunctions
C Total number of kilometres (or miles)
travelled and possible malfunction symbols
D Gear shift suggestion indication (GSI)

There is little doubt that the above extract implies that the time and temperature values should be available on the 3,5" display by judicious (combination) use of the controls to the left of the steering wheel.

BUT

the (English) manual for my 2024 model doesn't mention them in the options set out in "A" above, and the general 3.5" layout is somewhat different.

Intriguingly, if I download the Swedish or Italian versions of the 2024 manual, they both align with my English version!

Fiat manuals are generally "hit and miss" and can be misleading so if it is the 3.5" display I'd experiment with the LH controls. There is just a chance. however, that the two values are simply not available (though I'd be surprised).

I can't help empirically, as I have the 7" display and the Uconnect 10 radio, and the two values can be configured on both. (If the vehicle has a factory-fit radio, which it may well not do, there's just a chance that the values are available there)

OK. That has a publishing date of 10/21. The manuals I'm finding on the official Fiat site (in any language) for 2023/24 models have later publishing dates, differ on that section (they're like my English one) and don't mention external temperature/clock.

I'd still be (at least mildly) surprised if the values aren't configurable, and would play with the menu controls.

You´re right. I googled "Manual Ducato 2024" and this came up. Still it´s a manual for the new display and steeringwheel. I´m surprised if they "deleted" a function like outside tempterature. It might be the radio that is "the problem".

How about this?

I don't understand German, but knowing my 2022 2.2 Ducato and the use of the menu system buttons on the steering wheel the video is good.

Nothing to do with central head unit (which is likely to be the converter installation).

When in Europe I have central display in Kms and temperature. My wife then asks the time so I direct her to the central media screen.

Change when in UK because the dial is clear in mph 😊.
