i know that on the seicento when you wash the front windscreen it doesn't activate the windscreen wipers automatically, so you have to spray, then wipe, is it the same on the bravo?

Yes thank God! Its one of the better design features on the Fiat. The amount of times I have thanked this system when the water has been frozen this winter or I have run out on the motorway is uncountable.

when i first got the car i hated it - now i have become used to the pull up and push down action and do it all anyway so i don't think it helps that much

what I meant was, if your water is froze and the wipers ome on auto it smears the s**t everywhere and you cant see. Even my Jag is the same as the Fiat - class act!!!!

Very true. I can never be arsed to top up the screen wash and for some reason on my new punto, when the screen wash is empty it just stops instantly, whereas my old one gave a pathetic dribble prior to emptying completely so at least you had some idea it was on it's way out. So now i regularly have road grit salt fogging up my windscreen...then i attempt to clean said windscreen and i end up with smeared / can't see a bloody thing through it windscreen.

and the auto cancelling indicators are crap too.

pop the little pea cosies on...highly effective
