Technical Wheel bearing?

I think i found the issue, recently i started earing some binding from the front , with further inspection someone steering with the car stopped side to side and the coil spring is binding, the top mounts are shot from the left side and the right one on the go too , and does sound a bit of rubbing sound maybe is the coil rubbing while steering to the left that does that noise even with speed. Could it be? Ah and the steering became super hard at low speed when the spring noise started.

Sounds about right, top strut mounting bearings are a common issue.:)
Although usually feels a bit notchy when turning the steering out from a parking space etc.

And could it be really hard when turning on stopped position ? Usually happens more after being parked for awhile though , also my alignment is not great but no faults from the Eps

If left it can break front springs as well!!!
Already stopped the car until i go to the mechanic ;) just wanted to diagnose it properly and it needed to get a bit worse to really see what really was , now is 100% from the mounts thanks for all the help :)

The noise i think solved it , but the steering is trash binds in stopped position ocasionaly the Eps motor that was refurbished must be faulty again or the steering shaft is faulty , it clunks alot from side to side and seems to grind ,I am gonna sell this stupid car...too much issues and no fun in driving it...

So more digging done by myself i think is the intermediate shaft i dont know if is possible but there is alot of clunk and play side to side , the steering in the garage floor works always great no issues the problem is when i put the wheels on tarmac , seems like a binding , but if it was the Eps motor would became stiff even in the garage floor right ?

Try the trick I was told, sit the front wheels on some glossy magazines, so the weight is on but no friction.
Probably be able to do that without engine on.
If some one turns the steering wheel whilst you put your hand near the top of the suspension strut then if top bearing is harsh you will be able to feel it.
The top strut mount bearing is a very common fault, but more noticeable when car on the floor and slowly maneuvering such as when coming out of a parking space.

I changed the strut mounts :/ did not solve it what i hear is the clunk clunk inside not on the outside now , now i dont fell the spring binding 😆

I would have only changed the top strut bearings if test was conclusive.
The trouble is with not being beside the vehicle it is hard to diagnose, even with 55 years of experience one thing I have learnt is that no one knows everything.;)

Indeed the mechanic did say that probably is the Eps motor... But i doubt it no faults and no codes and works well with less friction like on garage floor , and the clunk clunk inside tells me it could be the intermediate shaft if i solved i Will let you know :)

Anyone know if for remove the intermediate shaft you need to take the Eps in the grande Punto?
