"You buy the image but fall in love with the detail".

This sentence is part of a Peugeot ad I just saw on TV. it struck me that it applies perfectly to the Fiat 500.

My favourite detail is the curve of the rear wing.

What's yours?

The rear wing has a great line to it but the best for me is the detail pressed into the front panel across from one headlight to the other?. But then every line of the 500 is great in its own way??

Well you did ask for detail!!!!

The rear view mirror with the built in interior light. Very clever kills two birds with one stone.

If I remember correctly Gordon Murray liked it so much he borrowed the idea and used it in the McLaren F1 when he designed it.(y)

I definitely think the side elevation is its best....

The critique you give Peter is why I've built an historic 500 instead of buying s new 595 Abarth
They are a similar to the original as the MINI are to an original cooper...
Like NOT!
The silhouette of an original 500 is as recognisable as a classic 911 or beetle
New 500 could be almost any modern city car - just with a badge intimating some heritage
