Technical What's this on top of the engine please? T-jet

Hi all
What's this box on top of the engine? I've just been looking and found it with cable ties keeping the pipe on (can't be good!!)
What is it please? And what would it do?

Thank you. By randomly typing box on top of engine into Google, it eventually worked out I was stupid and that's what I meant.
With regards to the cable ties, would that be something I need to replace urgently? How would I tell if it's having a detrimental effect on the engine.
It appears to pull well, has boost when needed etc, should I be worried? There was a little bit of oil under the cable ties but if it's an oil separator then I guess that's why it's there.

It looks broken that's why previous owner used cable ties to hold it there.
This is the return pipe to turbo intake side. No performance issues etc.

Yeah great bodge, although better than just leaving it I guess. ? hate bodges like this!!
As long as there's no performance issues, I'll leave it for now to save damaging anything else and look for a replacement at a later date.
