feet haven't healed, nearly passed out due to pain today during a 30km run with backpack, weapons and other equipment... slept 1 hour last night, going back out in the field in a couple of hours - it's going to be a long year...

any suggestions on how i can save my feet from further injuries? (nothing much worse can happen - cut them off maybe?)

what is it thats wrong with them? Bad blisters or other stuff? I'll ask my mate what he used to do to sort it :)

Definatly didn't do it to the scale you are but i used to put talc in my socks, dunno if you do one thick pair or two thin pairs( personal preference that one really hey). Used to prep my feet too with zinc oxide tape to help prevent rubbing.

Cooling foot spray like peppermint or something is nice for feet time of (if you have the resources to get it and time).

Try and keep feet up to stop blood pooling round your feet and ankles (keeps swelling down)

Oh and this site is good too

hope that helps :)

Oh when i'll post what my mate says if he says anything different

Soak them in potassium permanganate solution if you can get it, or otherwise surgical spirit will harden the skin up. Rubbing vaseline (petroleum jelly or white soft paraffin) on your skin before you go out for the day and when you change your socks reduces the rubbing and also keeps water off if your feet get wet :)

oh yeah! (damn i knew that) Definatly worth soaking your feet in the potassium stuff, works a treat.

Oh and if you need to quick fix a blister i used to (i know in the ideal world you shouldn't but needs must) pop it with a sterilised needle and then put surgical spirit on it... stings like hell but dries it up really quick (y)

I like your ideas too, more to suggest to my customers :D

Join the Navy? Just a thought.

i have a cold and my nose is totally blocked, i can rarely breathe out my nose most of the time any way but now its totally blocked and cant breathe at all. it really frustrates me and nothing is unblocking it!

Otrivine spray, Sudafed spray, Sinex spray (make sure it's the spray not the inhaler stick). All guaranteed to clear you out :)
