What's made you grumpy today?

just because i said it's unrealistic doesn't mean I don't do it. I just don't think that between someone with a degree and me saying i've read a few books on it an employer is more likely going to take on the graduate especially since most degrees have work placements now which means they not only have the piece of paper to say they have done the course but they have a small amount of work experience too

i'd love a receptionist job and i know i could do it but don't have the job experience to prove it and at 26 i wouldn't get any kind of training position it sucks. would go back to college but i have to pay for my first year and i can't afford it at the mo :(

Have you tried popping into a local school and seeing if they are looking for volunteers? Or a local charity?

Might also be worth looking at Learn Direct, I got a free course in English despite being in work.

I have all my higher's including english as a mother with 2 kids and my partner works haven't been employed for nearly 2 years makes it harder for people to employ you they see you as risky if you know what you mean.

and i can't afford to volunteer with the cost of childcare.

And i'm not being negative i'm being realistic no point in wasting my time and energy applying for jobs that i know i'm technically unqualified for

Laptops mouse pad and buttons have had something spilt on it so everytime i click it thinks im right clicking instead of left. Luckily the warranty runs out on the 31st of this month
Ps3 has started to break too, overheating after playing for so long
Xbox has same problem as ps3
and my tv's dvd player has stopped working.
I think technology hates me.

see if you can get a new cd player for the tv

Yeah good idea actually, didnt think of that. I was planning on getting a 2nd bigger tv for my xbox and ps3 when i move house anyway, might just get a smaller one and then get another tv to replace this one.

Also for some reason i cant click on tabs in google chrome..

Tap to click for now, until the warranty is sorted?

Or plug in a mouse, and disable the trackpad in device manager, if it's still causing random input.

The tap and scroll on the pad doesnt work either, its barely working at the moment but its working..just.
Im gonna find my usb mouse tomorrow and use that instead

go in to the settings and swap the buttons so left is right, right is left :)

The buttons are pretty much working today, just the actual pad bit isnt working properly, i can move the mouse and click once with it but i cant click on the scroll on the side of the screen and keep hold of it or actually scroll using the pad on the right hand side of it which is what i use for scrolling which is annoying me lol

Edit: Its working properly now... lol

Got to go to court for speeding :(

Was on my favorite road that is a country road, was coming out of the 30mph zone.

Dont expect any sympathy as it was my own fault..

Im now thinking its fate and I deserved it.. changed shifts at work, so had finished 4 hours earlier than normal.. and i wouldnt normally go that way home from work. My fault, I deserve whats coming essentially.

unlucky mate, im not gonna say anything about the speeding, no doubt people will do that for me and you accept its your fault

with any luck you can avoid points by getting the option to go on one of them speed awareness course

shame you were not on a 50cc bike. i got "caught" doing apparently 68mph on a 30 mph road by a speed camera. heh the best bit was that i wished the bike would of done 68 mph.. in fact i wished the thing did 40mph. as i would of used the dual carriage way instead of the back roads to get to work. a letter came through the post with the picture taken with quite a hefty fine and points. it went to court, but the photo clearly showed i was doing a lot less dew to the road markings. so i got away with it.

the best bit was because the bike was not fast enough to keep up with traffic on the dual carriage way i always used that back road. so after a month or 2 of testing i found it went off when i was doing 28mph. so i always tried aim for that speed to make it go off >_<
you had to hit it just right and be exactly central in the road (my side) to make it go off but id say 7 times out of 10 it would let me pass without flashing. was always fun to try to do it though. in the end they changed it to one of them front facing ones and it never did it again.
i had silver high vis tape all over the hat box of it that may of messed it up.. i dont really know how they work because it happed a few times after eventually i was told to ignore the letters.
i have to wonder if its a common thing.. but never really looked it up.

actually, this happened to anyone else on here? lol
