Styling What rims for my Mk2 Punto.

You've probably read a thousand threads like this but i'm totally new and don't have a clue lol. So i'm after a good quality set of 14 inch rims for my punto. They have to be 4x98 bolts. Black in colour preferably.

You could do a lot worse than look at Team Dynamics.

But as important as the 4x98 pcd is, the ET and centre bore are important too, as is the tyre you want to run (which will affect which width of wheel you need).

It's a much, much, more complicated subject than people imagine, so do some research.

Get a set of genuine Fiat 14" alloys off another Punto and refurbish them in black. Then all the PCD, centre bore, offset and wheel width issues go away.

There are 14in and 15in both are easy to get and easy fit from sporting anf non sportings

There are 2 versions of that tho
a straight edge where the spokes come down, and the other has a slight curve between the spokes,

imports look the same but are a 14" wheel.

The offset of hgt and sporting is different so each wheels needs to be checked as its common now to find some one has replaced 1 with the wrong off set.

Alternatively, any modern 4 stud Lancia, Alfa or FIAT will have the right pcd and centre bore -- it's then down to ET and J size (for the tyres you like).

This is what happened to me. I bought a 37ET set off an HGT and found one of them was off a sporting with 33ET.
Easiest thing to do was to sell HGT wheels and then I bought another sporting 33ET set of 4 wheels but one of those was MK2b style so I replaced that with the sporting one I had and now I am just left with a MK2b one sat in storage gathering dust.

And the 500 range is still 4x98. Only the Grande Punto + later Punto models and the new Bravo models have 4x100 PCD. As far as I know anyway.

Yes, I think that's right. 4 x 100 is Vauxhall pcd (for a Vauxhall chassis) so beware of Mito, too.

500 is 100% FIAT (Panda chassis).
