swansea-ish.
as per a few other requests i have a cinq with a 16v lump in. all done myself. took it for its first run and the alternator belt shredded and took out the timing belt. which i now know took out 8 valves.

i obviously didn't take enough off the mount for the belt clearance.

so id like to know what oil pump i can fit to use the smaller non power steering pulley and then use the cinq alternator.

is it from a 16v engine without oil driven steering maybe.( eps model???)

i dont mind buying new one just need to know what model to ask for

Does the pulley not bolt onto the cam belt pulley?

Or is this to get the crank sensor to line up?

Cheers

 £150 new mmmmmm. my mrs is going to hate me. have to buy some flowers for her.

with the repairs to the head on top .im gonna have to lie big time to get this fixed lol.

may be cheaper to buy a whole lump and just refit a new engine with the correct pump.

I don't know exactly what the issue is, but our 1368cc 16V has ran for over 2 years now without changing the oil pump :)

Rather than take loads out of the engine mount get some 5m thick alloy, cut it to same shape as the engine side mounting surface and use it as a spacer and it moves the mount away from the alternator belt, this combined with grinding away the excess on the mount that does nothing gives loads of space.

Our Cinq 1368cc is exactly the same and it started and ran first turn of the key.

5m is a tad excessive though eh? ;)

in all seriousness, does this not then strain the mounts more than it's meant to - as it's all 5mm out?

i would have thought you are gonna put something out of align with that idea. but if it works for you great. but rather research it a bit better.

as for what u.k car. i would think it would be any 1.2/1.4 16v engine without oil driven power steering and a single belt driven alternator only pulley.
