I want to plug my Laptop into the ODBII socket.

What software do i need to be able to speak to the onboard computer?

With a Bluetooth elm327

I use multiecuacan on a windows PC

On an android phone use alfaobd free,.torque and car scanner

With a multiplexer

I use WoW and Delphi

There's plus and minuses to each

Some only connect to the engine, some are missing things I use, some are quicker and so on

China elm327 are hit and miss, some are fine some don't work correctly,.you can't tell just by looking at them

Multiecuscan(pc) and alfaobd(android) both allow poxi.alignment

To connect to some modules you will need to either modify the dongle or buy an adapter

Most things can also be done with a cheap "KKL switched" cable, but be aware there are some modules it will not connect to like the dash

A usb elm327 usb apparently more reliable, but I have never experienced any problems using a Bluetooth one

MultiECUscan can be a faff to set up, and on some model it's missing long and short term trim values

The whole world uses LTFT and STFT but for some reason in MES it's labeled FRA and DTV and buried or not available at all, no idea if it's there on the 100HP

Do you have any links to were i can get a copy of the software.?

https://www.multiecuscan.net/ for PC

WoW and Delphi are pro software not cheap

I have never run it on a PC, worked fine on my phone. The free version allowed quite a lot of functionality but does not allow bidirectional control, so thing like switching the fan or dash lights are block in the the free vertion

Car scanner is very great for reading engine codes if you have an android phone

€50 Aint bad for a full copy. Does it unlock ECU etc.. as well?

I have one of these?

I got on quite well with the free version of alfaobd on an android phone, before I progressed

No idea if it's still okay, and never tried the pc version

Multiecuscan was a right faf to get working, free version doesn't record live data for very long, but enough to get by with, managed to diagnose an airbag fault,.used it with both kkl and elm327

99% of the time I only need to read engine codes or live data so the "car scanner" is the the most used, quick and simple and light, posted some live data using it occasionally on here

Very occasionally I need anything else

Your is a china generic Bluetooth elm327, same as these I own

They are random if they will work fully, they nearly all work to read engine codes, the rest is hit and miss, you can't tell from the case they are packaged in

I'd start by testing if it's compatible,.if you have access to an android phone, there's a program free on Google play store

Elm327 identifier

Only one of these three actually works fully

It will either come back like this

Or hopefully

Ive never done stuff like this before and i hate mobile Phones!?

I Guess im stuck in the past.

I didn't get a disc for the PC software for the OBDII reader thingy?

It seems to get a Subwoofer to work you have to turn it on!? LOL.
If you want one touch windows on the passenger side. You have to turn it on!?

Ill be trying some stuff out soon. Wish me luck

The other way will be to hard wire everything just like the good old days! At least ill know it'll work properly.:censored:
