Technical what isn't wrong! R REG PUNTO 60 SX help me ppl!

I bought a fiat punto 1.2 60 sx 1998(R Reg) 6 months ago and ive had nothing but trouble! had to have track rod ends, rear arm,gearbox, and much more totalling over £1000, i now have a knocking coming from underneath (sounds almost like something cracking), have checked the exhaust and thats o.k.
Also there is like a grinding sound coming from the front of the car which gets louder when i am in gear, to me it sounds like the gearbox but ive already had a re-conned box put in about 4 months ago!
Now i have a really bad water leak, ive checked all the pipes and they are o.k but the water drips out really bad, and it looks like its coming from the gearbox(if thats possible?)
PLEASE COULD SOME1 GIVE ME SOME ADVICE (OTHER THAN SELLING IT LOL) :bang:

That is unlucky, I've had similar on my P reg 55s. 3rd gear decided to stop working which lead to a new gearbox, now im slowly getting to the other things that need changing.. its running alot better after changing the spark plugs.
The sound from under the car could be the handbreak cable ? I've read on here that it makes a sort of slapping sound as it hits against its mounts.

check you brake pads first, then gearbox oil.
where did this recon box come from? is it a genuine fiat recon box?

water coming from the gear box end the theromstat is fitted there just under the coil pack to see if it is that remove the coil pack to have a good look also if you had the gearbox fitted by a garage take it back and get them to check it should be still under warrenty
