What gains can I expect from a Supersprint Manifold?

I've just about had enough of my front pipe so I'm thinking about getting the manifold by Supersprint. What I want to know is, is it worth the money for the sound/performace? What kind of gains am I likely to get? Looks like it's gonna be a right pain in the ar*e to fit too!!

If you're not planning to keep the car then I wouldn't.

Depends....If it makes much of a difference then I'll keep it. I'm fed up of no bottom end torque Although, the front pipe probably is the main cause of this.

It will help but its not going to work miracles, it won't suddenly turn it from a gutless wonder into a torque monster.

If you want torque then a 16v engine is about the worst way to start.

hmmm decisions decisions Think I might just get ANOTHER front pipe. Unless anyone can justify the £300 price tag? Think Ash has one that he's quite pleased about?

mine gave me about 9bhp and about 13ftlb of torq but i have other things done as well i predict you would see around 4bhp with no other mods. it is more than possible that it just released the potential of my other mods.

personally i would say if ur only gonna get the manifold and no other mods then dont bother. if you plan to do head work uprated ecu's etc etc then you cant not get one.

What other things have you had done then Ash? What sort of 0-60 times are u getting? Mines sitting at around the 9.00 - 9.5 mark at the mo. I have that eprom chip from the danish guy that Ben B has too. Will this be a problem if I get it?

Waste of £300.

The only difference that you will feel is a lighter wallet.

how do you know its 9secs??.. personally if you wanna make it go faster strip the seats and interior out and have one bucket seat lol.


if you can hold out until the end of summer early winter mine may be up for sale along with the rest of the exhaust.

My mate timed it. Did it about 3 or 4 times I think and the times ranged from 9 to 9.5. Not that bothered about 0-60 tbh, just get annoyed with having to change down a gear all the time to accelerate. Yeah if you're gonna be selling in a few months I might be interested. Might just get a frontpipe from a scrappy in the mean time.
