I fancy one of these where did it fix to? Did you have to drill anything? Looks a great idea to me. Somewhat like the old Renault R16 arm rest.
Hi, it just sits on/over the cup holder section just behind the handbrake held on with 4 self tapping screws 2 either side, fitted very well but was too tall so needed a bit taking out to lower it a bit, would certainly miss it now makes journeys much better.

Go the towbar on, getting the bumper off then back on again was a bit of a pain with the hidden clips.... Electrics fiddly to sort with the now std thinner wiring with absolutely no slack in the wiring loom to play with. Also fitted a 12v socket in the boot with a split relay (should turn off automatically if the voltage drops) so we can run the cool box etc. Also fitted a switch for the boot light so we can leave it off white the boots open

Interesting on the 12v supply. Question about the boot light: did this not turn itself off after 10 minutes anyway (like the interior light does if you leave it manually turned on by accident... ).

Yes it turned off after a while, but it's better to be able to turn it off and leave it off (obviously as you can with the main one in the car) it's just annoying especially if your away camping and always in and out of the boot, so just a simple switch next to the light makes sense, well to me anyway, pity manufacturers don't fit a simple light sensor for all interior lights....

Had the morning off, so used the time to give the Wee Yellow Beastie a thorough once-over before its 36k service.

Took the wheels off (what's the betting they won't do that as part of the service?), swapped the fronts with the rears, and took the opportunity to grind off the corrosion from the edges of the brake discs. The rear pads look to be slightly more worn than the fronts, which surprised me, but there's plenty of meat left on all of them, which is nice.

Now let's see if I get a phone call from the service department saying "Your pads are very worn - shall we replace them while your car's in the workshop?"

Or am I being too cynical?

gar074 where is Panda going for service? Dealers just lie. Bear in mind could be oil change and plug in diagnostics and that's it. I wait with my mechanic and watch him do the work. Though been quick jobs so far (under an hour). :)

Enjoying our holiday in the Highlands of Scotland the panda is doing us proud exceeding my expectations over the trip being both comfortable and averaging around the 60mpg mark so very pleased so far.

Gave it a good wash inside and out and slapped a fresh coat of Colonite 845 on. Normally I put on the wax in the summer but this year it was just to hot.
Still looking fine after 5 years.

Out of hibernation. ??

Yes since he got his coat Fiat car cover) he's been hibernating for 6 weeks in the coat in the garage.

Now he's dirty so I cant put the cover back until washed again so he in business for a few days. When it snows he will come out and play BMW baiting!

Good stuff..

Any comments on ride..comfort..etc
and general wear and tear..

Looking to do lots of longer trips when I get my hands on one..

My twinair lounge also on 59k! Apart from a switch breaking on the clutch causing the yellow warning light there are no signs of ware or tear at all. Genuinely feels better with age.

I DRIVE this car too...... I religiously look after the mechanical side of it though. Always let the turbo cool down after a spirited drive without fail. Never boot it before its reached temp etc..
