General What did you do with your Panda today?

Hi.
It was a beautiful day here and after a wash (the car not me) I used good old Simoniz hard wax on the the bonnet, roof, front wings and tailgate. after that I sprayed Waxoyl inside the bonnet sections, the inner of the front wings and the cavities inside the box sections that I could get to in the engine compartment, cleaned all the seams and did them with the Waxoyl too. Also cleaned the rear suspension beam, suspension cups and the back of the rear drums of any light surface rust, then gave the full area a liberal coating of Waxoyl.
Had to re-polish here and there due to Waxoyl spray. Over did it a bit and got a row from the missus......... TBH she is right due to my health.

I want to get the underside of my Cross protected.

The body is fine but the black suspension parts / subframes look about as well protected as the sump guard (see my thread on that)!

Nothing. It uses to much petrol to actually drive it!

It does look very pretty though!

I don't suppose I can remain mad at it for long. They are a bit like naughty puppies.

You just cannot not love them, even when they have just whoopsied on the 1st stair down to your ground floor level and you just trod in it on the way down stairs and then again going upstairs looking for the offending item which of course you can smell by now.....

That particular pup turned out to be the most wonderful dog you could wish for. Here is hoping for the car.

Not what I did today but I saw what I did 2 months ago
My green trekking has orange valve & hubcaps also an orange ping pong ball on the arial ( for an easy find in a carpark )
So 2 months ago I was in a local hospital and drove past a parked panda artic, it was crying out for one of my spare ping pong balls
Anywho, today out on the open road I spy an artic, a closer look as I pass and yes it's the same panda and it's still wearing my ping pong ball (y)
I've never met the owner and was curious about my random gift, as it's still there after all this time says it all

Tried him with my new Panda 100 wheels. These are 6" Italian spec rather than 6.5 which is standard here. They seem to fit perfectly so will be given some road standard tyres and used in summer. I hope this may help the fuel consumption too. Also repaired a stone with Chipex kit which did a very good job, a very nearly invisible repair.

As I'm feeling better I fitted the rear bumper protector, looks neat.

Hi.
Ran her up on the ramps to have a good look around under the front. There was some surface rust on the sump which I've ground off, cleaned up to bright metal, gave it a couple of coats of kurust and left it to cure (sump warm) and have now given it three coats of zinc primer, tomorrow I'll paint it black. Everything else looks fine bar a dent in the exhaust pipe behind the bracket.
