Rito all,
im gettin an apprentaship soon an im going to be needing to travel a fair bit, and im afraid the 55sx punto is gunna have 2 go.... kus i will need something wit a bit more poke init, but im stumped kus i aint got a hope of insureing sumit 2 big (2.0, Lancia delta intergrali evo3 springs to mind) but i dont want sumit 2 small, i was thinkin my max is gunna be sumit like a punto sporting 1.6 16v, but i dont no. Any ideas?

punto sporting 1.6 16v sounds ok, you don't want some thing thats going to drink to much, what about a fiat turbo diesel they can be tuned to put out a lot of power.

yeah.....i dunno yet, as i say i aint sorted out my aprentiship, i kud end up at bristol to birmingham yet :|, i like the look of bravo's as well though :s but then an alfa romeo 146 is nice.....im not doing the jap crap root though lol

well alfas are nice but not exactl most reliable car build wise. more of that legendry italian build quality. not sure what car to suggest realy but i agree turbo diesel is good idea especially if you travelling distance as they great on fuel economy and some of they do shift and are easily tuned.

2001 Punto sporting in sprint blue with matching Mr Bump air freshner all together now mmmmmmm

get a mk2 punto 1242 16v. to start with, then work your way up. It's got plenty punch for a new driver

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX,

And an approx starting price of £800 for insurance, it might make a better choice. A 1.6 will be a lot worse I assume? However, maybe money isn't a problem to you and 1.5k isn't a problem for 12 months of insurance.

the mk2 soprting is way faster than the mk1 55. thanks to 6 speed box and 16v engine, not too bad on petrol either.

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX,

the 1.6 in the bravo/brava is nippy but not exactly fast. the punto's more modern and reliable, (I've had both)and the sporting is kinda similar performance wise but the fuel consumption and insurance and safety are better on the punto

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX,

yeah, but the insurance is massive! and there are lots of quicker cars with smaller engines

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX,

And cioccixxx, with 6 months insurance you won't have any no-claims yet and hence the premium for your new car will be as it were if you drove it from day 1...but this would change another 6 months down the line as at this point, you would have 1 yNCB :)

I pay £897 TPFT but spent a lot of time to find that price (1.0 uno)

norwich union are doing a good deal at the moment, if you do passpluss they take off 52% thats a hell of a lot of saving and its in your own name so you build up ncb.
