I am trying my hardest to order my EBC Green stuff pads but i am getting stumped at every turn, first no stock, then no fitters, then week delivery, fiat parts no answer to see which type, service no answer..........on it goes

My question is: what type of pads are on the mk2 '02 punto 1.2 8V

the bloke @ demontweeks say there are 2 types, bendix (i think) and another one. What type do i need ???????????????????

Did you have the fish? No...I ate it.

Hi,

You will probably have to check the pads to be sure, I had the same problem. The Bendix have a large metal spring thing on the back as far as I remember.

You could ask the dealer to look it up using your registration number or chassis number, they may have the details.

right, i have finally ordered them but now i need to know how to fit them. I am hoping that they will come with instructions but if not how easy/hard is it to fit them?

I will obviously need to jack up the front wheels, remove the wheel....then i am in the realms of the unkown.

tools? time? any info would be much appreciated

Hi,

I have the Bendix, you will need to remeber to use locktite or similar on the bolts used to hold them in. You may get some bolts with it which have the locking stuff already on.

Good luck

locktite? I am afraid i have little experience in technical modz so you'll have to elaborate. Will it be straight forward enough for me to work it.

Since this is an important part of the car i dont want to mess it up and when i drive away [xx(]

Hi,

Locktite is a fluid which you apply to the thread on a bolt which prevents it from coming loose by accident or through vibration. Some bolts have a compound on them to do this, it looks like a ring of white on the thread.

It is pretty important for safety.
