Pink thing is an MI5 'bug' used to track cars linked to criminal activity/ drug trafficking.

I had my air box off the other day, if that little red thingy is an air temp sensor, why does it run on vac hoses and no wires?

Can it be disconnected? whats the consequences? I would think it would have to go if there was an induction kit thingy fitted?

Yep can be diosconnected with no bother Nik. The one on my 1242 is disconnected at the opposite end with no ill effects whatsoever
