I just failed my test today for gettin a serious on indicating ! Typically the same guy i had failed my mate for indicating to .... pretty annoyed !! I only had 5 minors !! Now theres more money on lessons .... less for moddin :(
 
Unlucky... Aledgedly better drivers pass second time around!
 
Gutted for ya mate. I failed my 1st test too and it sucked! Passed second time though, so clearly the best drivers DO pass one the secind attempt ;)
 
I passed first time, iirc i got 11 minors :yuck: .
That figure makes me cringe, its an awful lot. Three were for hesitation (which is odd cos i thought 3 in the same group was a fail :rolleyes: )
One was for going into the outside lane of the two that were straight on at some lights even tho i had been specifically told to use the inside lane. In my defence the inside one had a huge queue so it was quicker to use the outside one, the examiner didn't share my opinion.
 
Gex, I totally agree with you. If both lanes have are allowed to go straight on the usual rule is that you use the left lane, but use the right lane if there is already traffic in the left lane.

It's annoying that many drivers don't seem to do this, because it makes queue's twice as long.

When I took my test they didn't have the current system, but I failed my first test on positioning of car during normal driving. Firstly, that alone shouldn't have been a fail. Secondly, he said it was because I was driving too far out in the road, when passing parked cars, but as I understand it you should leave a car doors distance between your car and the parked cars, unless so doing will obstruct on coming traffic.

What the hell, passed second time.

Mr_C, you have my sympathy, but don't worry, try again as soon as you can.

I passed first time :)

No idea about minors, etc - can't recall that far back. All I know is I passed after 5 weeks of lessons that started on my 17th birthday - yay :D
 
I passed 2nd time. First time no minors and one "major" error. He told me to go right round an Island - and it was at the last minute, as he was gesturing to tell me to go right his pen flew out of his hand and hit me on the face. Which I wasn't expecting! So I indicated and a silver BMW flashed me to move in, and just as I was moving he speeds up and cut me up. :-( So I failed on that.

Second time passed with 3 minors. AND the test bloke kept calling me Tracy throughout the test. I did pretty good I think!
 
I failed my first one for doing a hill start after the guy behind flashed me to pull out. Second 1, i got the same examiner and he passed me, this time i cut a guy up REALLY badly on a round-a-bout and blagged my way out of that, hit the curb 3 times on reverse round a corner (and nearly hit the curb on the other side - but the road was only the width of the car) and a few other little mistakes. never mind tho!!

My driving test was some of the worst driving I had done (well for the first 30 mins) of my whole driving career, still passed with 3/4 miinors :p

I passed 3rd time - 3rd time lucky I guess, although I wasn't thinking that when the 1st examiner I had and failed me, came out of the office to conduct my test 3rd time around!
