I'm away on tour for 6 weeks as of tomorrow night, so I'll not be getting on here anywhere near as much as I usually do, if at all.

So, good luck with any projects, stay safe, and I'll be back at the beginning of June to get more info about the Minehead weekender.

Chris, think you mentioned you were thinking of removing the battery.

Personally, I think that's a bad idea!

I'd leave it connected and maybe give it a charge when you return - before you attempt to start the engine.

Can't charge it before really....it's staying at work....but my jump leads and an allen key for the battery cover are staying in the boot!

I would get the wife to start and warm her up every week and that should hold here for a while and park her in gear with the hand brake off as well mate ..dont want them sticking on do you

Never heard of them solar chargers...might be worth a last minute look tomorrow....

Saw what happened to my mates car when he left the handbrake on when we went to Cyprus (3 months away). Couldn't move the car for anything...when he eventually got it started. My old 95 Punto....started first time...his newish Rover......JUMP STARTED BY MY FIAT!

Doesn't the Stilo have a lighter socket that becomes disabled after a couple of minutes when the ignition is off? If so it won't work.

It's also got croc clips on it.

Besides, I've got 4 switched lighter sockets in the top glove box coming straight off the battery
