Hi,

Started my bravo up this morning, and reversed out of the drive and thought what the hell is that noise!

It seems when i reverse slightly faster than just rolling back I get a weird friction sound and slows down as the car slows. It only does it when i dis engage the clutch while reversing.

Anyone?

It's not a sort of "Meowing" noise is it by any chance..

Could be your rear brakes binding a bit. They can do that when going backwards.

this might sound stupid but is it just this once this morning that it happened.... did you remember to take the handbrake off?

might sound stupid but sounds like what you might have done, unless ofcourse you have done it again and the same happened.

Just normal gear whine, as reverse gear teeth are straight cut and when you dip the clutch the cog that is normally driving is getting driven very quickly.
