random thought but would using a wax such as collinite be any good on windows? obviously not the windscreen, but on the rear sides or rear window (de-wipered)
waxing the car earlier and thought it might be good for water repellant instead of rain-x for eg.

I use collinite for my side windows as well as on the rest of the car on my panda. Water just runs off the side windows so easily and the windows don’t seem to collect as much dust on them. I would definitely recommend using wax on the side windows. For the front and rear window i use turtle wax ICE glass cleaner. This product ensures water beads of the windscreen easily leaving a water repellent coating. Now i rarely use my wipers and the rain just blows off when driving.
