As per the title, really. I was changing the battery on my Seicento today and in the process discovered a small puddle of water sitting on the bodywork under the plastic battery tray. Further investigation showed that the black soundproofing material behind the battery area was also saturated, to about halfway across the width of the bulkhead.
I wondered if there are any other known points of entry for water in this area? Wiper spindle grommets for example? The car lives outside and we've had a fair bit of rain, which makes it hard to say for sure if this is rainwater getting in or a leak from a heater pipe or union, although they appear to be in a good order. I could probably do with taking the moulded soundproofing off for better access, but it looks a bit of a swine to remove.
