Hi, I'm new on here and own a 2014 Westfalia Amundsen. I was just filling up the water tank and the hose attachment (small and round) came off inside the tank. Anyone know how I can retrieve it please? The water tank is not filling up properly and goes to overflow after a couple of seconds. Don't worry I've learnt my lesson! Please can someone suggest something?

There should be a large, about 100mm diameter access cover either on top of or underneath the tank. Mine on an external tank is underneath, and covered by a flap in tank insulation. If on top there could be hatch in the van floor.

As above the access or inspection cap or hatch should be accessable. Mine is next to the outflow at the end of the tank.
Depending on how small and round (and lucky you are) the outlet pipe fitting unscrewed may give you an access hole big enough to wash out, or fish and catch the fitting.
Have fun 🙂.

Thanks very much. I'll have a look when it stops raining! 😆

In my RV, the tank is located behind, above and in front of the wheel housing for the right rear wheel. There are two inspection hatches on the top of the tank. Via the rear I access the pump and the level sensor and all the water connections. The front inspection hatch is inside a cabinet under a hatch and I only use it when cleaning the tank.
