Water leak

i have a fiat bravo hlx. i fitted my amp and sub the other day but to get the amp wire through to the boot neatly i removed the rubber bung under the schuttle board to fead the wire into the car. now i have a water leakand wondering is it because i removed this bung. if anyone could let me know thaat would be great.

p.s the leak is into the drivers footwell

the rubber bung is needed to prevent water ingress. rather than removing it, stab a hole in it with a screwdriver and then force the wire thorough. that will maintain a waterproof seal.

what i meant is that there is a bung and a hose coming which i have removed and know i have tried filling the hole but it still leaks
