In my 05 Punto's first year I had a gear box replaced as it just exploded. Now the car is in its 3rd year warranty and the gear box is leaking oil from the near side drive shaft oil seal and they won't do it under warranty .:bang:. Just wondering if I have a leg to stand on getting it done under warranty.

What company is your 3rd year warranty with? (it's not a Fiat warranty- usually Voyager)

Unless you've done more than the limit of 60,000 miles then a diff oil seal should be covered (we've never had an issue getting authority, especially as it's an easy job!)

The warranty is the standard fiat 3rd year warranty. The car has only done 36,000 miles. I'm pretty sure its only leaking because of dodgy workmanship on the warranty job in the first year when they had to replace the whole gear box!. Might just try a different dealer as I've heard that SG Petch in west Auckland are a bunch of numpty's anyway and only care if your buying a new car.

I like the burn it down idea .
