Can anyone tell me what this light is for in my 1996 Fiat Punto 55s? I never owned a punto before so am suspecting this is the fuel warning light telling me am low on fuel but thing is even when I have up to half of tank of gas the light is still flashing on and off at time. See the image attached with the arrow showing the light am talking about

I would say your sender is on the blink or dirty. Fill it up next time you are flush and top up before half empty instead of the other way round. :D

Thanks my friend, i was thinking it must be something like that

Not sure with your car mate but most are under the back seat. You will have a revocable access hole then unscrew the sender from the top of the tank. That is if you can be bothered to look into it further. Just don't have a fag when doing this :D

i was thinkigng of checking it but the location of the sensor is what i was unsure of, i will check under the seat but if its something harder i think i will leave it, wish i could disable it, i really dont see the need for it since i usually know when i need gas by the needle itself:)
