I have tried allsorts of part numbers . I bought 2 from online suppliers claiming to fit 1980-1986 pandas they do not . the internal dimensions are much too small . tony .Got one yet..?

Sounding like your Radiator..or Thermostat housing.. are different to its original build?
But of course odd stuff does happen..
I once tried all 3 of the listed cambelt options on a 1500 fiat.. none worked.. so the original stayed on for 150k

They may have been changed but the hose that is on the car came from some panda and that is the one that i want.
