Technical wailing noise when engine cold

hi all,

when starting up in the morning, theres a wailing noise coming from the engine only briefy before the engine gets up to 3000rpm then it stops, any1 have any ideas what it could be and whether it can be easily sorted, i heard some one saying about the timing belt? cheerz

more likely to be the tensioner for the cambelt.

Sounds like the aux belt slipping while cold. Just check it for tension and wear.

Ok cheers guys, its under warrenty so i'll jus take it to the garage if it keeps doin it.

it's the tensioner for the cambelt. guarenteed you're losing power.
get it to fiat and tell them to change the cambelt AND tensioner
