does anyone know where this is and which wire it is? as when i fit my alarm i want all its features working lol as it has an auto lock feature aswell. Will there be a speed sensor wire on the back of my iso plug do ya think?

Cheers
Mike

does no 1 really know lol

i been doin some searchin and came across that the vss is on back of the box and is a 3 pin plug (but havnt got a clue what wire i would use) also i looked at my clocks diagram and was wondering what wire i should use as i could wire them behind my clocks i.e:

Speedo Modlue Signal or the Signal from speedo?

Mike

Mate, I don't have a scooby doo what your on about - but as in a previous post I shouldn't comment as I don't work in car electronics ;)

If you ring the manufactors they might know the answer, afterall you have bought their product so im sure they will have a wiring diagramme for most / all cars???

Tommy

'Vehicle Speed Sensor' ? lol no probs mate.
just thought someone may have an idea of what wire it is.Think i best check with fiat as i think wiring my alarm speed sensor to the back of my clocks is the best solution as itll be out the way.

Mike

What engine and trim - then await til I find the diagram ;)

No matter if they are from a marea - if all works fine the wire positions are the same.

What to tap in to - hard to say, I think the signal is constant and the module changes whit speed.

Use a crimp like this one

on both wires and check with the alarm.
It all depends what the alarm needs.

Dont forget - DO NOT turn the ignition on when the dash is disconnected, the air bag light will go on.

thought they were the same but wernt sure.I know i got the mare loom as the stereo plug is all inside it but thought id ask..but yer i get the jift lol

and yeah i got told to use those crimp plugs thanks.
So really it wouldnt matter which one i use as they do the same thing But to test it before hand. Its just the basic remote with an alarm with an optional boot pop and speed sensor for safety(doors lock when reached 10mph) so i would like it all working thats all.

Cheers :)

Can you not wire the auto locking to the ignition, so when you turn the key to start the car the doors will lock rather it be dependant on speed? Or put a delay on it to lock after 10 secs.

ive just read up on that about cars havin an 'auto lock' feature, that when ignition is on the doors lock and vice versa.

I think the downside to that would be say if im parked up with stereo on,the doors would be locked and if someone wanted to get out i would have to turn ign off (to unlock doors) to let them out and turn it back on again for me to put the stereo back on..and vice bersa to let them back in again etc lol as i only have 1 turn then the stero/ign is on,rather than having 2 turns like some cars do i.e 1.batt-2.ign.

Mike

why dont you swap the positive over on the stereo so its permanent live thats how mine is means you dont need ignition on when listening to stereo
also by leaving the ignition on and the car not running can damage the coils as they have high power running thru them all the time ignition is on

never knew that, thanks.learn something new everyday :)
If i cant come to the conclusion when wiring in the speed sensor then i think i will swap the ignition over to the speed sensor.

i would think so tommy it doesn't do the coils alot of good leaving them on while no engine running and also uses alot of battery power

Tommy was about to ask that myself,it comes from somewhere lol
and andy, also with stereo being on (and nothing else) it also uses alot of battery power..Or doesnt it use as much as with oignition being on? Its daft how the bravo only needs 1 turn for the ignition, rather than 2
