anyone like me on VM and found they cant use these sites anymore?

have a look at this... clicky

i may look to leave as im out of contract and this is just rediculous, i dont use these sights often, but have used them for moving large files like audio and video (not ripped stuff, recordings i have made, videos i have made/other people had made, not ripped from DVDs or CDs, peoples home videos and cassettes) and they are treating this like a p2p network. its just arse

Virgin Media really do seem to be killing themselves off. One the one hand they offer the fastest bb speeds in the country but the other hand makes it impossible to make use of these fast speeds.
Glad I'm with o2 - mobile CS is average but the broadband side have been first class.

Ive been on rapidshare premium for two months basically downloading loads and loads of stuff like autodata etc from forum (multipart rars around 100mb) plus loads of Wii games.

Anyway, I have the 20mb VM service and most of the time get the full speed, there are times when I dont but I am sure thats down to rapidshare and the particular rapidshare server the files are hosted on.

I had an issue a few months ago where I couldnt get on mininova, piratebay or isohunt... few other people across the country had the same. I gave up on them and after about a month my modem broke and I had a replacement sent.. ever since I switched to that modem everythings been fine.

Im on the Leeds/Bradford border. NTL 250 modem, all wired network, linksys running ddwrt.

I know in years past when ive had to change IP etc ive spoofed the mac address of the network card connected to the modem and that sometimes does things like this.

Could be worth ringing them, saying all the lights on the modem are on solid, they will just send you a new one out by UPS!!:D
