Trying to view a video and getting a problem.

Windows Media Player states:

"Windows media player cannot play the file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."

This is a common error message by Media Player.

Using Media Player Classic I get more info:

Stream 0

Cannot Render Any of the Streams

I don't think I need the latest set of Codecs but it could be a possibility. I was more concerned with the Re-occuring Zero's in the SubType and FormatType.

Anyone know how to resolve this problem or does it just mean the header info in the file is missing/damaged. Is there anyway to repair it? This problem has happened one too many times for me to let it slide.

The Mega Codec pack is good, good as in it was all the codecs and players I had already but in one installer. The Installer is good to.

It allowed me to remove all the programs I already had installed prior to install so that I do not get any conflicts.

It did not detect my Indeo 5 codec though

Anyways... it did not fix my problem. I also downloaded a MPEG Header Fixer which did not fix my problem.

Maybe the file is just dead.
