Evening all,

Just bought a 58-reg petrol Sedici and I love it (22k on the clock). However, I've noticed that there appears to be a vibration (resonant) at about 2000RPM, irrespective of whether the car is actually moving. The vibration happens in all gears and disappears at lower and higher revs. The vibration sounds like it is coming from either the console behind the steering wheel, or the engine cavity...difficult to tell.

**Edit: I should say that this is a vibration 'sound' and not a vibration 'feeling' if you understand what I mean**

Does anyone else have a similar problem?
Cheers
JT

Dash panel loose perhaps JT? The section over the clock does rattle a little on ours.
Also worth checking in the recesses under the bonnet at the lower screen edge. Seem to collect all sorts of debris in ours.

Wasn't there an issue on earlier models, with the side air vent hoses/ducts touching against the dash or bodywork, and causing a buzzing noise. I think a strategically placed piece of foam behind the dash helped with this.

Had not heard about that dieselglider? Do you know where to place the foam and how to remove the dash? We've put up with our centre console buzz for years?

I'm wondering if it might be possible to access the vents/ducting by removing the stereo rather than the whole of the dashboard. Does anyone have any experience of removing the stereo on a 58 plate, and know if you can access the rear of the dash via its recess?

Cheers
JT

you can get to some parts of the back of the dash by taking the glove box out,but can't remember if it gets you behind the stereo. Might be worth a look though.
