My wife's 2002 1.2 Active is showing some very strange dashboard indications. On starting the engine, the steering column, electric window and engine overheat light (the big dot at the top of the curved scale) and the diesel (!) 'glow plug' symbol stay illuminated, BUT they're not at 'full brightness'- being about 30% strength. They take between approx. 20 and 80 seconds to fully dim once the engine is switched off and the key is removed. If it's any help, the battery drained a few weeks ago though lack of use and was fully charged before a good run. After about 15 miles, the steering column light came on to a FULL brightness and the steering wheel was very heavy, but still driveable with some effort. The steering column warning light hasn't come on since and the City mode switches on and off ok. She did have the steering column replaced in 2013. I've checked the charge on the battery regularly and it's maintaining a good 12.5 volts. Any ideas?
