General Van washing product

Hi My van hasn't been washed for months as I was on holiday.
I tried cleaning it today but couldn't get the black spotty stains on the roof to come off. I will appreciate recommendations on what van wash product to use.

Without knowing what the spots are one can't really say.
If you have got a bit of petrol handy that would be worth a try.
