I have seen this covered before but cant find it in the search.

How do you install a vacuum gauge? I know it can be done by tapping a hole into the manifold and running the pipe from there, but is there anywhere else you can run the pipe from? for reference cars a 93 injection with coils and not vacuum advance on the distributor.

I got a 50 mile comutte minimum daily as of monday and want it to be as economical as possible.

yes tyres pumped up hard and sticking with skinny tyres too now.

Does a blowing exhasut affect consumption? cant imagine it does as it's after the cat.

Technically yes, as the length and bore of an exhaust is calculated to assist in drawing in to the engine the next cylinder of air/fuel mixture. A blowing exhaust is allowing for an early exit rather than where it's meant to come out.
Having said all that, and sounding very technical, I doubt it would make much difference :p, Depends on where and how big the leak is, if it's one you can live with the effect would be minimal.
