Technical Urgent Request

Hi Chaps,
The cooling fan on my 1.1 MPI is making a terible grating sound when it kicks in.

Has anyone who is breaking a sei MPI got one i could have (for a price of course) been to every scrappy in blackburn and not a single MPI sei.

PS any parts i can get you from a black W reg SPI (899) i think let me know as there is one in a scrappy in Gt Harwood, Lancs.

any rad fan from a cinq/sei should fit fine. shouldnt have to be an MPI sei.

from what the guys at fiat told me (and the look of the fan + cowling) its quite different. MPI fan is ECU controlled, versus SPI and Cinq which have a switch on the radiator

yeah but is that not just a different switch?mpi guys will be around soon with a definate answer

SPI fan should fit, the switch itself on the SPI is mounted on the radiator, not the fan

sounds good. might make things a little easier. LOL now to find a SPI or an MPI that aint been front ended.......

good luck everyone i`ve been to see been front ended!!!!!! only wanted back bumper but they always first thing to go!!!!!!!!!!

talking to a mechanic this afternoon, the spi ones are different and do not fit. any MPI folk confirm this?

Ususally this sound is due to dtry running bearing. Take fan out and grease the bearing.

I have an MPI i believe they dont fit also, im not too sure!

Im sure pete (fixitagaintomorrow) can clarify the situation
