Technical URGENT please help

right dont laugh, but i put the chip in the wrong way round

so it now starts. going to swap the ecu's around again tonight (with the chip the right way) and see what.

oh if any moderators read this please delte this post and the one before to save me embrrassment

Just read this thread. Good luck with the car and respect to you for getting hands on with no knowledge to begin with. Trial and error is the way forward.

thanks for that punto baz trying two more things tomorrow, then im swapping the engines out the cinqs, as the batterd one (the donar car) runs sweet.

will see what happens

no it wasnt the ECU unfortunatly, i think it is either going to be the fuel injector or TB as i can hear a gasping sound, will find out tomorrow. if not any one done an straight engine swap in a day????

i think Sie's 1242 conversion was done in 5 hours. Thats from driving into garage with 1108 to driving out with the 1242

5 hours hmmmm that means about 50 for me then :bang: plus my 50 page thesis on top of that.

was thinking putting the other cinq engine in to start off with as it runs perfect and its just sitting there.

getting the yellow one up and running, then possible dropping the 1242 in the silver cinq if i can sort out the body work as it is completly fuc*ed.

give me some experiance for the 1242 later on the silver cinq too possibily. ohh while im on about the silver cinq, never have a seen so many reciepts for it. geeeeessss there a loads, and a fair few mot's. must be pushing for about 50 reciepts for the silver cinq i reckon.
