urgent help needed

Hey,

i drive a 1.8 mk1 bravo.

the problem I'm having is even when the key is removed from ignition the ignition lights are staying on, stereo powers up etc...

had the same problem yesterday and thought it was part of the wiring under the back seat which had become trapped. after thinking I had fixed it yesterday the same thing has happened again, only now it changes between the ignition staying on constantly, even when the key is removed, and the ignition lights coming on only when the full beam is turned on when the key is removed.

Does anyone know what may be causing this fault, as my wallet doesn't want to resort to an auto electrician just yet. lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Had a problem like this on my van, it turned out to be the rear light connectors were touching, cleaned up , problem fixed
