Right, I was driving from my home to my boyf, when my engine began to rev menicingly, then i heard the exhaust scraping on the floor.

Got it to boyf, where he looked under and the whole thing felt off (except catylytic converter and the bit attached to engine.

no middle pipe, no silencer, no end pipe (they are now in the boot of my car)

any ideas as to where i should start looking for people to do it?

is there any recalls on this, because the exhaust looks quite new, apart from severe rust on the seems?

and, anybody know what cost im looking at, cos it already looks very expensive?

Thanks, an quite response would be appreciated

People criticise qwik fit, but that is who'd recommend, I've used them many times on various cars and their service has always been excellent, plus the garantee's they give are unbeatable.

As for warranty claims on your exhaust, I'd doubt you'd have any luck, as the exhaust is usually not covered being a consumable item, unless the circumstances were excpetional.

Hope you get sorted ;)

Shtop. You can't rush these things. Perfect oppertunity too get your self a powerflow exhaust system like mine. Thousand miles later and i got the sweetest sounding cinq i've ever heard. Got the centre section without silencer and backbox with tailpipe of my choice for £170 fitted. Go here for a look at some designs http://www.powerflow.uk.com/.

Definitely, your car is well out of manufacturers warranty.

Mileage doesn't really matter in this case, infact less use is worse for exhausts, cos all the vapour gets a chance to settle inside rotting your exhaust from the inside out, which may be why it doesn't look too bad.

Unless of course it has been more recently fitted?

i just want a standard exhaust to get the thing back on the road, (cos its still in the boot)

any ideas about cost.

i found a site to buy online, and i have found the part but says £00.00 (i wish)

If the front pipe is damaged (the bit with the flexi join in it) its an absolute fortune to replace, cheapest i've got quoted is a £130. The rest of the system is pretty damn cheap in all fairness, any high street exhaust place can sort it for you

The mild steel zorts all rust at the welded seams, if your keeping the car then best to go stainless steel, I was quoted £210 for mild steel cat back 2 years ago and then bought a Janspeed stainless for £220!

If your old exhuast isn't dead, (as it just fell off i don't think it can be that rusted) then to get that fitted on again that would cost you peanuts at any local garage. But like the others said it's a good reason to go and get a powerflow or something stainless steel.

i have been under the car today and happily, the convertor is still there!

but,,, the pipe has snapped off, it looks rusted from the inside out,, so £130.00 for new exhaust!

nice

May aswell pay the extra £40 too get it fully stainless steel with a true lifetime warranty. You go too halfroads, larkspeed, or even motorworld for that fact. Any with lifetime wrranty are only actually about 3 years.
BE CAREFULL
