hi guys. right i have just paid £150 for a 100watt subwoofer which is a factory fit. Since then i have been thinking...is it really worth it? i mean you can buy proper 1000watt subwoofers for that sorta money. so i just have a few questions. If i was to upgrade the sound system would i invalidate the warranty? secondly anyone know any people in the north-west area who specialise in Fiat? cheers in advance

cheers for the quick reply. thats the thing im worried about. i dont want to have a problem and then the fiat people start blaming my installation!

a solution i could try is maybe ask them to arrange the installation for me? so they would approve everything etc this has been done before. hmmm btw is the head unit which comes as standard any good for an upgraded sound system? because i would not really want to change it.

well you would need to upgrade it really, really you shouldnt of got the sub as that would of paid for a new head unit.

really you want a new head unit, an amp to power front speakers, an amp to power sub, and a sub woofer and box and new front speakers, and disconnect rear ones.

hmmm erm...well im sure i could still cancel the sub. but i need 2 make the mental leap of forking out money to buy the kit and install lol. as i do need my boot aswell is there any change the sub can be sunk or put into the sidewall? also i would be willing to spend around say 600-800 pounds. wt could i get for tht?

im sure u can get some one to mount the subs for u change the hea dunti i changed mine heres a pic of mine

Hi there!

Didn't wanna start new thread so I'll ask here.
I've just bought new Pioneer DEH5800MP HU (payed bit under 150 euros for it) and since my new GP is arriving next week I'd like to know just a bit 'bout installing HU in it. Actually, my question is pretty much simple one. At this point I do not have enough money to install any 'seriously sounding' soundysytem in it so i just wanna plug my current Pioneer in and play it on factory speakers.

Do I just plug it in or I will need to swap those famous red and yellow wires. If i need to make any adjustments, what are they and how complicatet is it? I'm not afraid of wiring and rewiring. That's what I actually enjoy doing (not that I'll rewire if I don't need to... :] ).

Thanx!

Seeya
