I just remembered that if you fit the 1.4 pistons on the 1.3 engine the compression ratio will be raised. This is because the pistons on the 1.3 are dished more and the head of the 1.3 is not dished.
On the 1.4 engine, the pistons have a slight dish and the head has a slight dish as well. like this the compression is lowered.

Hi, thanks for the response, I only might consider mk2 pistons because my
bores are well worn And I can not locate any. I have tried the normal places,
all I can get are forged for 800 quid. Any more information would be most gratefull .

Ok, so in that case what you can do is use oversive mk2 pistons and machine about 0.5mm from the face of the piston. Like that you will reduve the compression abit.
I machined 1mm from the face of the pistons to lower the compression, so 0.5mm is ok to machine.
