Hi
I am writing with reference to a reply in an existing post, concerning the technique for changing the cambelt on an Uno diesel. I just had my cambelt changed and it's not good. Smoke and lack of smoothness on start-up, lack of top end power.
The reply in the previous post states that....
"...What you can find with the belt on the UNO diesel is that you have to put the belt on with the pump timing a tooth out. Then rotate the engine by hand twice and it should then be aligned properly..."
Sounds about right, but can someone please confirm if it's one tooth before, or one tooth after the mark, if you know what I mean.
Many thanks in advance
