Technical Unidentified leak smells like petrol

Fortunately I don't have to use my 1998 R Punto 85sx 16v for a few days!
There is a leak under the deivers side towards the rear from a cylinder (aprox 5in x 2in) and the assoc pipes - it smells a bit petrolly and I don't know what it is or how to fix it - any ideas?
The cylinder is just under the car about a foot infront of the rear wheel on the drivers side

If it smells like petrol then it IS petrol. Dont drive it until its fixed.

Cheers, guess I'd best get that fixed asap - any idea how much it should cost to get done?

its a diy job, think you can get new from www.shop4parts.co.uk

Or any decent motor factors but take care don't pull too hard on the pipe that comes from the fuel pump the plastic pipe spigots on the pump are frail even more so after a few years, it's an expensive bit of kit to replace if you break it! (ask me how I know!)
