I'm looking to mount my amp underneath the passenger seat. Now, all the wiring and everything, that's not a problem at all, I was just wondering how exactly to 'attach' the amp to the floor under the seat. Has anyone done this in their install? Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

Hei.

This is what I did on my Uno. First: Do not bolt the amp directly to the car so it touches the car's metal. This will cause a "hum" in your speakers due to grounding. Grounding should be done with the ground wire.

I used a piece of wood, about 1" thick, and applied some cloth to it. Then bolted the amp to it. This little installation was then added with something we call "patentbånd" see link http://www.sav.dk/produkter/isofix/sav_patentb%C3%A5nd.htm and attached to the seat's front brackets. This has worked for a year, and the the installation has never moved, jumped or whatsoever. Make sure the "patentbånd" doesn't touch the amp (if it does, use som insualtion) because it grounds itself. You want pictures?

Edit: This also makes it rather time-spending to steal aswell.

Hei Chinky.

Here are some pictures:

First is the interior with the abarth steering wheel and dalmatian refurnish. The head unit is a Panasonic WMA/MP3/CD player

Next is what I call "kabelkalas" with wires for amp, head unit, speakers and handsfree set

Here is the Phoenix Gold amp, delivering 125 watts per channel in 4 ohms. This is RMS output when driving (voltage at 14). Notice the "patentbånd" from the clothed wood

This is from the rear seats. I mounted an "anti-kick-plate so passengers wouldn't strike the amp with their shoes
